Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a wonderful large Zsolnay porcelain owl on box figurine with rich iridescent Eosin glaze. The glaze has an iridescent bronzed-teal green coloration with a silver cast with this finish called Eosin at the Zsolnay factory. Marked on base with faint Zsolnay castle gold/tan trademark stamp with an incised "4" in one corner. The Zsolnay factory was established in 1853 with the Eosin line produced after 1900.Measures 11" high , 10" wide and 8 1/2" deep. Weighs 3.12 pounds. This nice figurine is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws other than a small production flaw on the edge of the base in the form of a no-harm skip in the glaze. There is also a small glaze rub area and light crazing on the flat area of the base.
