Its unique features include the ability to account for cold light variable exposure, adjusting the time automatically to ensure perfect exposure. This product is ideal for those looking to take their film photography to the next level, with a focus on precision and consistency. The timer-metronome is easy to use and comes with a sensor to ensure accurate timing. It is perfect for both beginners and experienced photographers alike, with its user-friendly interface and advanced functionality. Whether you're looking to improve your darkroom techniques or simply want to take more control over your film photography, this Zone VI Compensating Enlarging Timer-Metronome is the perfect addition to your collection..... Ansel Adams used a regular music metronome as his enlarging timer......this is an elegant improvement .Cold light tubes have exposure drift....it is hard to get. Prints with equal exposure to match, because the light source heats up and cools down, so to get identical exposures, this unit measures the cold light constantly, and instead of adjusting the light output, it adjusts the time between beeps!!! You will need a foot pedal to turn on and off your light source, and 9 volt battery to power the metronome.Bonus....if you use buy it now. I will include an Aristo 4x5 cold light head( but no tube. As it accidently broke)
