Description: Hello and welcome You are bidding for Zionism - Max Nordau Unknown Songs In His Handwriting c. 1865 1: Max Nordau - A song of praise for Germany. A page in his handwriting c. 1865 A rare page in Nordau's handwriting from the period of his youth when he began to see himself as German. "When I reached the age of fifteen, I abandoned the Jewish way of life and the study of the Torah... Judaism remained for me nothing more than a memory, and since then I have always felt myself a German, only a German." This is a very rare example from the beginning of this period. It seems like this song was never published. 22x14 cm. Fair condition. 2: Max Nordau - Two unknown songs - Pest 1866 - an unknown printed song and a handwritten song. A rare printed page with a wedding congratulatory song on the back of the page is another song in Nordau's handwriting. As far as we know both songs have never been published. Items from this period of Nordau's life are extremely rare. 22x15 cm. Fair/poor condition. Provenance, taken by the heirs from Maxa Nordau's apartment in Paris in the mid-1990s. And then from her heirs' home in Tel Aviv 2017. To confirm the authenticity of the handwriting we consulted with an expert from Israel's national library. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Max S.
