It was here that the town of Yaquina City once flourished and for a few brief decades after the civil war Thought to compete with Portland as the major port of the new state of Oregon. Etc nice feature. The Duffy story: Walter P. Duffy was probably known by more old timers than anyone else in the patent at his medicine field. It was he that produced Duffy’s malt whiskey for medicinal purposes. It was widely advertised for the aged and convalescent Duffy‘s first business was set up in Baltimore, Maryland. In the 1880s and early 1890s Duffy did a tremendous business in Rochester New York. Etc nice feature.
