Description: YAMAHA YHR-87D Full double Playable condition with Hard case From Japan Description Condition: Used The YHR-87D is a Geyer type Yamaha F/B♭ full double horn Custom model. It was manufactured from the early 1990s to early 2016. It is equivalent to the current YHR-871D. It features a rich, clear, brilliant sound with a medium bell, and also has a comfortable blowing feel and excellent response in all ranges. The large, gentle, natural winding (tube layout) improves the sound and response, and detailed know-how is incorporated throughout, such as tapered valves with excellent airtightness. Key: F/B♭ full double F/B♭⇔B♭/F switchable Geyer type Yellow brass bell, clear lacquer finish Detachable bell Bell size: M (medium bell) Valve system: 4 rotary Bore size: 12.0mm Lever action: String (string type) [Geyer type] The winding shape is based on the orthodox Geyer style. The 4th rotary is on the left hand pinky side, and the valves are lined up in a straight line. The winding method is simple, and most of them have a medium-thin bell. The characteristic is that the breath flow is smooth and easy to play. [F/B♭⇔B♭/F switchable] You can change from F to B♭ to B♭ to F without replacing the rotary. Simply remove the string on the 4th rotary and move the position of the adjustment string and screw to switch. [Bell size] The bell size refers to the size of the part of the bell that the right hand inserted when playing touches. This model is M size and is called a "medium bell". It was developed mainly in Europe, and has a bright yet deep sound. It is an all-around bell size. [Lever action] The strings operate smoothly and have a quiet lever action, and the lever height can be easily adjusted. There are scratches and rust from peeling lacquer all over the instrument. There is one small dent (top of the 7th photo). There are repair marks on the bell body (bottom of 8th and 9th photos) and bell flare (bottom of 10th photo). The inside of the tube has been cleaned.
