Description: Rare Vintage Wedgwood Yale University 1931 Commemorative Plate - made in England. This transferware plate measures approximately 10 1/2" across, and has an ivory background with blue images. The plate has a decorative scalloped border, with a central image featuring the Yale College Fence & Campus. The back of this plate carries the manufacturer's mark: "Yale University -- Yale College Fence & Campus -- Wedgwood - Etruria, England -- Sole Importers - Jones, McDuffee & Stratton - Boston". The Wedgwood impressions/incisions are also present. Extremely good condition for its age - no chips, cracks, stains or repairs anywhere on this item. Some minor, light crazing in the clear coat glaze, but it is extremely minor and barely visible. Any reflection, distortion or shadow in the photos is the result of camera and lighting issues.
