Description: for sale here is a very very good and very rarely seen brass + ebonite harling/trolling reel for horwood of killin and specifically designed for harling on the river tay , , (usually only ever seen for them and for fishing on the river tay ) huge 5.5" size , narrow drum with rarely seen multi pillared core, full straight unfiled brass foot , horn or ebonite handle , constant caliper check , overall excellent with no line burns , no damage or flaws , winds excellent with good strong loud check , a very very nice all original and clean example this one , very nice example...most likely made by mallochs..extremely rare in this size .. .. ...please see my other listings of hardy and other vintage fishing items this week...ref box 7 if you buy a reel from me , you can be sure it has been through my workshop , lines removed , fully cleaned and serviced and any worn or damaged parts replaced with new ones , so no loose handles , no chewed up screws , no spool wobble or spindle wear , no bent or filed feet , no worn pawls , no loose rivets or missing parts , good tight springs and always described exactly as i see it , i do all the hard work so you dont have to worry about getting an inferior reel obviously the more vintage reels may have little flaws such as worn screw heads or paint wear or scratches etc but all items will be fully photographed and described correctly , if you are unsure then please contact me..
