This reamer is used for larger ball joints and tie rod ends found on construction vehicles, construction equipment, fire trucks, box trucks, semi-trucks, farm equipment, fork lifts, military vehicles and equipment, etc. This reamer will work for anything over 3/4” on the small end at 1 ½” taper per foot. The use of a full pecking cycle and oil-based coolant is strongly recommended for maximum performance and finish. This reamer is designed to be used in a CNC or manual machine with a 1/2” collet for extra rigidity. It can also be used by hand with a large tap wrench. Keep in mind, this reamer is not a drill. Run this reamer at half the speed (RPM) and twice the feed that you would a drill.
