Description: Provenance: From the estate of a Native American pottery/basket/jewelry collector who lived in Arizona and New Mexico. He had a collector’s store in the latter. This piece was passed down through his family. Museum quality piece. 16” in height with 12” largest diameter. Two chips to rim as shown in closeup pics. Vase presents well. No cracks. Vase is in otherwise excellent condition. The vase sits straight. It doesn’t rock or lean. It sits sturdy on its base, not being precarious at all. I did a 1/8 turn all the way around looking at the form of the vase itself. (Not the painted design) It doesn’t tilt that my eyes can detect. It stands in alignment. I repeated the turns looking at the design. There are “snake faces” in every 1/4 turn. When looking straight at them and how the design is patterned around, it’s pretty straight, but not perfect. There are areas the design on one side isn’t exactly matched on the other. I really love Native American pieces, but I’m not as expert. Please reach out if there is anything missing from my listing that may be of help to you. Huge Museum Quality Fine ACOMA PUEBLO Polychrome Olla Vase Pot 16”.
