Description: A super rare and highly desirable Kriegsmarine / merchant navy issue wooden storage box (EMPTY) that would've held a single P08 Luger and its leather holster for use by commanding Officers aboard ships. Still with the original 'P08 m. Tasche' stencilled inscription to the top of the lid, and the maker code and date 'E.J. 1942' and WaA Waffenamt marking to one side edge. There is some evidence of beetle presence, mainly visible to the underside on one corner - but relatively minor and contained, as well as clearly having been treated and is no longer active. One of the very best and rarest WWII era accessories for the iconic P08 Luger! Only a handful of such examples survive to this day with them selling for big money in the USA!!
