WWII Women's American Red Cross Motor Corps Service Uniform Dress (B-35" W-26")

Description: Vintage 1940s WWII American Red Cross Motor Service uniform dress. MEASUREMENTS (approximate): Bust - 35" Waist - 26" Hips - 32" Length - 40 1/2" Sleeve (shoulder seam to end of cuff) - 24" Nice coat dress in good condition. The A.R.C. pins on the collar are bent at the C. Motor Corps insignia pin above the pocket. Motor Service patch and one year service stripe on the sleeve. Underneath the double buttons, there is a repair on the seam (hidden when worn). Small hole on the inside collar area (again, not visible when worn). There is some staining inside under the arms, but it is not noticeable on the outside. Sewn in shoulder pads. A few areas of very light discoloration. No attempt has been made to launder this. If you decide to launder the dress, be very careful with the vegetable ivory buttons! They are fragile when it comes to cleaning (they hold up just fine for normal use). They will color bleed if you soak the dress and I've known dry cleaners who have cracked the buttons. Unfortunately, the safest option is to remove them before cleaning (its a lot of sewing, but that's better than a damaged dress). This will ship with insurance. It may need to be signed for! A note on vintage clothing: I am not the original owner of these items, therefore I cannot guarantee their history. I am a non-smoker myself, but can't say the garment has never been around cigarette smoke or moth balls. While I would never list an item I find to have an offensive odor, I cannot ensure buyers (especially those very sensitive to odors) will feel the same as smell is subjective. I DO COMBINE SHIPPING!
