Description: Welcome to this listing for an original WWII Western L77 Fighting Knife / Stiletto, OAL 11", used by USMC. A similar example and description can be seen in the book U.S. and Allied Military Knives World War II by Bill Walters, Page 435 - 438. This knife has the features of the 10th version of this style of knife. The leather grip has been covered with a black material, can't see the spacers, and is in nice shape showing honest age, wear, or use, see pics for the condition! The guard and the pommel are in good shape with the guard being the "long steel" version. The blade is in decent shape, measuring just under 6.75". The blade shows some honest use, light / moderate sharpening, age, surface spotting, and wear, see pictures to judge condition for yourself. The blade has been cleaned but remains in collectible condition. A really nice original leather sheath is paired with this knife. This sheath and knife match well from a condition stand point. The cross strap button and snap function as expected. I see no other integrity issues with the the sheath. You will receive the exact knife and sheath picture.
