Description: Lot of 2 "News Flashes: Tokyo Bay" from the USS Mackinac off the coast of occupied WWII Japan. One is dated November 3, 1945 and the other November 15, 1945. The content includes everything from Japan to Joe Louis, from Chiang Kai Shek to sailors rioting in Honolulu. Each is 3 double-sided 8 1/2" x 13" pages. Tanned and brittle at the edges but very good shape overall. From the estate of a WWII Navy Air Combat Intelligence officer and pilot who was stationed off the coast of Japan preparing for the invasion when the atomic bomb was dropped. Displays really well. A nice piece of history and a superb addition to any library or collection. I ship every day the post office is open with your item safely packed for protection. I always combine shipping. Please see the Fighting Fascism in WWII section and the rest of my store for more museum-quality historical artifacts.
