The 69th Division fought late in the European Campaign. They "borrowed" their nickname from the fabled 165th Infantry of the 42nd Rainbow Division from WWI, the old "Fighting 69th" New York Infantry. (The 69th has been restored and replaced the 165th Infantry recently.) The patch was removed from a uniform. It is in fair to fair plus condition and at least 79 years old.
