Description: WWII Era US Army OD Green Canvas Shelter Half, Tent w/Metal Buttons - Complete with Sectional Pole Set, Rope & Metal Stakes - Excellent Condition Up for sale is a late WWII Era US Army OD Green Canvas Shelter Half Tent. This made of light weight cotton duck canvas, with OD Green color. The shelter half is in Excellent Condition. No rips or tears, see photos. No paint splatter. Nice color on both sides, no color fading. There are no visible manufacture markings or dates. This is the early pattern shelter with the metal buttons. It includes the later sectional tent pole set, no visible markings or dates. Cotton Tent Rope and set of five Metal Tent Stakes. Very hard to find a complete set like this with the stakes, pole and rope. This is original design, from the WWI era, utilized four Quarters to make one tent. The quarter was merely a rectangular piece of canvas with ONE triangular flap and a row of buttons and button holes along each edge (except the bottom edge). In 1942, this design was changed to add an additional triangular flap, which would make it possible to assemble a tent from two sections rather than four.
