Description: Original WWII British 1940-pattern battledress jacket.OD wool construction with partial cotton lining and original metal and plastic buttons.Comes with original 78th Division shoulder flash, black tab (Fusiliers?) and sleeve chevron on the left sleeve. Nothing on the left sleeve.Note how all buttons have been modified for quick release by the addition of snaps behind them. The same snaps are used on the collar strap, cuffs and on the waist strap (the female snap for the waist band are nowhere to be found and the usual buckle is missing)Nice tag sewn on the lining. Dated 1945.Good condition. Light wear.
