These socks are designed to be used as a protective holster liner for when you store your gun in its holster to help the holster maintain its shape. They help prevent direct contact between the guns metal and the holsters leather. They are especially helpful at protecting the blueing at contact points between the gun and the holster. They can also be used as a protective cover for your gun with out a holster to keep out dust and help prevent scratches, much in the way a museum would store an item. The socks are handmade of 100% breathable cotton flannel and are not treated. Most users clean and oil the gun and leave the sock dry. This sock fits the 4"-6" Luger, the Swiss Luger, Stoeger Lugers, Ermas, etc. We also have them for the 8" artillery Luger in our other listings.
