Description: Being offered for sale is an extremely RARE 22" x 32" news-wilding propaganda poster from France during WW1 - a prime candidate for acid-free linen-backing restoration. The paper is very old and thin newsprint, so that very few of these have even survived. The art depicts the Germans attacking medical hospital boats and firing upon the drowning victims, similar to what occurred in Dunkirk or during Normandy. The posters were glued on walls outside in the streets and served the purpose of informing the public of the atrocities that were being committed by the Germans. This could have been in France or Belgium, but I have only ever seen a few of these that survived. Art shows all of the boats to that date that were attacked and lists the amount of victims. THIS IS PRACTICALLY A MUSEUM PIECE! Don't miss out on the opportunity to own this very interesting piece of history!
