Description: This bayonet is in very good condition. It has the factory blade and a pointy tip, and a shiny grayish surface with patina spotting and oil / grease. There are minor surface marks from the scabbard. Very clean overall except for the before mentioned oil / grease. The blade feels smooth with a hint of surface patina. Nice factory edge with just a hint of wear. It is stamped RK on the front of the guard. No other stamps on the blade which would likely indicate a late war manufacture. The wood handle is in great condition, is secure and has some minor surface wear. No cracks. The pommel, top plate and guard look great with very little wear. They have patina areas that are mostly finish level with the pommel having a higher percentage. There is a faint stamp on the side of the pommel opposite of the push button which is likely an inspection stamp or Imperial stamp. There is some worn green paint on the handle area. The push button works as expected. The scabbard is in great condition physically with no depressions, dents or dings. The finish is a green paint over bluing. The green has finish wear exposing the bluing underneath as well as minor marks, scratches and chips. Fully functional. This is a very good set.
