WWI Colt “Black Army” U.S. 1911 M1911 45 45ACP Parts Slide Barrel WW1 Government

Description: This is a Colt Model of 1911 U.S. Army assembly of parts. These are parts for a Model M1911 made circa 1918; the slide’s finish is consistent with the World War One production that Colt did to fill U.S. Government orders for the 1911, commonly referred to by collectors as the “Black Army” models. Included is the complete slide with its front and rear sights, firing pin, extractor, etc. The barrel assembly is complete with its locking-link. The recoil spring, hammer and strut, mainspring assembly, trigger and related parts, grip screws, slide release lever, safety, magazine release, etc. No other parts than those shown in the photos are included. The parts are used, showing finish loss from use and likely poor storage during some of its 100-year life. There are some significant dings on the rear of the slide. We would guess someone used it as a hammer. The hammer itself does not have any dings and has a much better finish than the rest of the parts, the hammer may be a replacement. (We are not experts on Colt’s Model 1911; please consult with an expert if “correctness” with certain parts important to you.) The bore has strong rifling with only very minor, fine pitting.
