This is an accurate reproduction of the correct leather chin strap assembly. This kit includes the leather strap that is secured to the top of the helmet and holds the liner in place and the leather chin strap which loops through the metal D-Rings on the liner strap and is adjustable to fit the soldiers head. Great kit to replace the broken or missing chin strap on your M1917 helmet.NOTE: this kit includes ONLY the two leather straps, as shown in the photos. The rivets to secure the straps are not included. These rivets can be found at your local craft or hardware store. This would make a nice addition to your WWI Collection. Please see photos.
