Description: This is a genuine WW2 item 1944 Signal Flare Cartridge tin. Empty It says on the front and back: 3 Cartridges Signal 1"MK.XII.T. Lot No It says on the side: Box No 381. M K.1. It says on the lid: DO NOT REMOVE SEALING TAPE & OPEN TIN UNTIL CARTRIDGES ARE REQUIRED in very small letters at the bottom it also says: 12 MB/44 90mm wide, 30mm deep and 65mm high. They have come out of some genuine WW 2 ammo boxes which have been in storage since the mid 1950's. I guess they fired them all off then sent the empty tins back for re-filling. That's green, they must have invented re-cycling!
