Description: WW2 US CORPS OF ARMY ENGINEERS 1/2 POUND DEMOLITIONCARDBOARD CARTON DISPLAY BLOCK These small yellow 1/2 carton blocks were used used on the front line by the Army, Engineers and the Airborne forces. You can also see these carton blocks being used during the end scene in the movie Saving Private Ryan when they are surrendering their socks and setting up to blow the bridge. The cardboard carton is totally empty as you can see in the photographs. The empty carton weighs a total of 32 grams. The lid / end cap has been carefully removed so you can see it is NOW just a empty display carton ! the end cap has now been glued back on to make it look authentic again, it would probably come off again if you wanted to put some filling inside to give it some weight. The carton measures 9 1/2 cm in length and just under 5cm in width. Overall the carton is in very good condition considering it is over 70 years old, there is some minor corrosion on both of the metal end caps that would probably clean up if you wished.Would make a great display item for any collection. Ideal for living history / re-enacting purposes etc. I try to describe items the very best I can and take the best photos as possible, please check my feedback. I am more than happy to combine postage with any other item / items. If you have any questions please get in touch.
