Both the Oberleutnant and Major pairs have snaps on the reverse and were removable, likely from a white summer tunic for laundering. 8 pairs of shoulder boards present, 2 pairs representing the rank of a Leutnant (both showing signs of removed pips from the rank of Hauptmann) with regiment 11th and 83rd regiment ciphers. 4 pairs representing the rank of Hauptmann, 2 of which has 83rd regiment ciphers, and one displaying the rare KS cipher for aerial warfare school. 2 pairs of boards representing the rank of a Major, with one having rare ciphers for anti aircraft school. Complete with a identity disc, also matching for Flak Regiment 83. An impressive grouping of insignia, and unfortunate there is no name attached!
