Description: Original WW2 German "HEERESKARTE" ('Army Map') of OCCUPIED SLOVENIA entitled "NOVO MESTO". It's headed “Nicht für die Offenlichtkeit” - meaning “not intended for public use”. At the time Slovenian territory had been divided between Germany, Italy and Hungary. This map is one of a large collection captured by the Yugoslavian authorities at the end of the War and repurposed for their own official matters - hence the post-war ink stamp.
