This would have been produced for victory day in 1945 and sold as a souvenir. The stand would not have come with this letter opener originally, but it is included in this listing. The stand is made from brass/bronze with three bird feet shaped feet, the stand breaks down into two parts. The box states “Victory sword letter opener”, and is in great condition. The letter opener is a miniature imitation of a ww2 Royal Navy officers-sword with a lion head handle and imitation pommel. This is a rare piece and in good condition.
