Description: Original WW2 BATTLE OF BRITAIN dated AIR MINISTRY (METEOROLOGICAL OFFICE) "LOCAL DAILY WEATHER REPORT" map for use in WEATHER PLOTTING for RAF operations. A rare weather mapping sheet (FORM 2376) which would not normally have been in the possession of aircrews. The meteorological data would have been plotted by specialist Air Ministry staff for higher ranking officers at RAF airbases and used in the day to day planning of Air Operations etc. This example was printed in July 1940 during the Battle of Britain, and was later used to record details for Sunday 7th June 1942. In good condition, with a few edge nicks along the top and bottom (see photos). Please see my other WW2 (and WW1) maps, documents, photos etc. (Seller's Ref - CWH1222 / 3)
