Description: You are bidding on a VERY NICE used example of a WW1 German / Prussian Heer (Army) Leather Pioneer Equipment Belt Hanger! Made of leather, this Belt Hanger is in EXCELLENT used condition! Used to carry the Pioneer Axe, Shovel, or Pick Axe, it was manufactured in 1915, and marked as such, along with the manufacture name. Some marks and wear due to the age, but otherwise quite solid with no damage. Original to the Belt, Butcher Bayonet, and Frog I currently have listed, it is faintly stamped with the unit, "P.R. 9" (Pioneer Regiment 9). No damage, but it probably needs some leather conditioning, as it is a bit dry. Would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!
