World War 1 German Army Commanders Autograph Collection Prominent Names

Description: Listed for auction is a collection of [8] eight items signed by prominent German Army commanders who served during World War I. The collection includes the following, 1] Karl Von Lewinski Generalmajor who commanded the 211th Infantry Division. His autograph is signed on a German postcard dated 30.1.18 and is signed ''von Lewinski'' in black fountain pen. The postcard will be accompanied with a typed letter which translates his note. 2] Arnold Lequis a Generalmajor who commanded the 12th Infantry Division and was awarded the Merite in 1917. His autograph is signed ''Lequis''on a typed card dated 6th February 1941. The card will be accompanied with a typed letter which translates his letter along with its original transmittal envelope. 3] Georg Von Der Marwitz a General der Kavallierie who commanded several German armies on both the Eastern and Western Fronts. His autograph is signed on a picture postcard of him in uniform and the autograph is signed on the verso with his rank added below in black fountain pen. 4] Walter Freiherr Von Schleinitz a Generalleunant who commanded the 4th [Queen Augusta] Guards Grenadiers. His autograph is on a [ALS] autograph letter signed and dated 8.2.1917. The letter is signed ''Freiherr von Scheinitz'' with rank in black fountain pen. The letter will be accompanied with a typed letter which translates his letter. 5] Friedrich Freiherr Kress Von Kressenstein a General posted to the mission in Turkey in 1914 who conceived and promoted the attack on the Suez Canal which opened hostilities on the Palestine Front in 1915. His autograph is signed on a German postcard which is affixed with a newspaper photograph of him and is signed ''Friedrich Freiherr Kress von Kressenstein'' in black fountain pen. 6] Two [2] autographs of Freidrich von Scholtz. A General who commanded the 20th Corps, the 8th Army and later served as commander of the Army Group on the Macedonian Front and was awarded the Merite in 1917. Both autographs are signed on German postcards, one is dated 1915 and the other is dated 1918. Both have written notes above his signature and are signed ''Scholtz'' in fountain pen. 7] Ludwig Freiherr von Willisen a Major who served with the 14th Army. His autograph is signed on a [ALS] autograph letter signed on a German postcard. The letter is dated December 1917 and is signed ''Ludwig von Willisen'' in black fountain pen. All items are in very good condition with trivial toning and the collection contains notable German World War I commanders.
