Description: The World Explorers Club Program with Commander C. S. Whitehall was a mail-order club in the 1960s that sent monthly kits so kids could learn about other countries and cultures. It included information booklets, maps, records, stamps, and a toy or interesting item from each country. The information booklets all include lots of photos and are all a bit different, but can include games, phrases in the language, foods eaten there, and lots of information about people Commander Whitehall met.I have not been able to find anything online about this Club, so I suspect a set like this is somewhat rare. I would love to hear from anyone that remembers it!You might enjoy having this set from a historical perspective to compare how the countries and cultures have changed over the years, or perhaps you enjoyed it as a kid and would like to "explore" each country again. I have several different countries (kits) on auction. They all vary with what is included. This auction is for Ecuador, and includes everything seen in photos. This kit is sold as is, I am not sure if the old flexidisc record will work, sold as is. s52
