WORKS Zenith Trans-Oceanic Royal 3000-1 AM/FM/SW9 Band Transistor Portable Radio

Description: PLEASE NOTE: I DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY or to U.S. protectorates/military bases! Up for your consideration today, a circa 1965 Zenith Transoceanic Royal 3000 1 nine band transisistor AM / FM / SW radio. Antenna unfolds, extends, and retracts as it should. Front door functions properly. All original knobs are intact. Original log book is present. Vinyl covering has minor shrinkage, but is very nice for its age. Brushed chrome exhibits some minor pitting, but better than average for these from what I have seen. The battery compartment is clean. I replaced both of the dial lights with fresh incandecent flashlight bulbs. From everything that I can tell, it works great and sounds fantastic. Powerful speaker and way more volume than you're ever going to use. Only a little crackle to the knobs, however I haven't de-oxed them. I have done nothing with this radio other than replace the bulbs and give it a proper cleaning. AM and FM pull in lots of stations, and I even had good success on some of the short wave bands (only a few, of course). I don't have an ac adapter for it, however I've heard that these will run for a very long time without having to worry about changing the batteries.
