Description: CLOCK FULLY WORKING AS IT SHOULD. CLOCK HAS BEEN FULLY REFURBISHED. Working Mantle clock by (William) WmL. Gilbert 8-Day 50-175 Clock Company, with Bell and Gong, USA Winsted Connecticut. Clock is Dated December 8th, 1882. Clock measures 11″ tall X 16″ wide X 6" Deep. Cathedral gong, Gongs on the hour, the amount the Hour it is on; and Dings bell on the half. (see video below). Original key included. The ornate brass pendulum has oak leaves. The angled sides and Victorian etchings, carvings and top rail fretwork are intact with no scratches or dents. Clock stated 9:00AM on 11-16-24. Been on since then. Will update when Clock stops. Today is 11/19/24 4:00PM, and Clock still running. Clock stopped 11/23/24 at 11:26 AM. It ran 7 days and 2.5 hours. Keep in mind, I did not give Clock a full wind. This means this is an 8-Day Clock. I have adjusted pendulum as it goes to get it to run on time. I have got right now. I cleaned mechanism in my professional ultrasound machine. I oiled the Mechanism with Clock oil. The casing was cleaned and had parts replaced. Some parts were painted, and others were brought back to look new. A piece of wood needs to be placed on back Left leg only to get it to run right. See last pictures. The door of the Clock has engraved: R390S. Not sure what it stands for. SEE VIDEO BELOW: 1:10Working Altai walnut mantle clock by (William) WmL.
