Description: A vintage industrial Roberts and Hirst (Halifax) bobbin from Halifax, Yorkshire. Roberts and Hirst were bobbin makers from 1916 -1961. The bobbin is 10 inches tall and made of wood and steel and in a very good condition. It has a 3" wooden base with metal around the edge and a wooden bottom. (See pictures) The top is 2 1/4" wide and has a wooden center that is painted red with the ROBERTS & HIRST LTD. HALIFAX printed on it.
