Description: Wondrous World of Sonny & Cher - cassette - 1966 - ATCO Records - ATX5138 - RARE Description: This is a rare early 1966 copy of the Sonny and Cher album The Wondrous World of Sonny and Cher on cassette. Most recording labels were not experimenting with small cassette recording in 1966, because very few people could find or afford a cassette player. Vinyl LPs were still the dominant recording medium at the time. It wasn't until the 1970s that enough of the public has tape recorders/players in their homes to be able to start buying cassettes in droves. The paper cover are in VG+ condition showing some shelf wear and light scratches (see photos) while the black plastic case is near pristine. The cassette tape is also in VG+ condition.
