Without Orders by Martha Albrand (HCDJ 1943)

Description: "Without Orders" was written by Martha Albrand. This 1943 edition was published by Little, Brown and & Co, Boston, and is a book club edition. It is a hardcover book measuring 5.75x8". 282 pages that show tanning due to age. The dust jacket's glossy paper is causing age spots on the pages it touches. There are some dirty/age spots inside. The burlap binding is visible inside the last couple of pages (picture 7). The spine is loose because of this, but the book is still intact. The dust jacket has great color. The spine is faded from being on the shelf. There is wear and small tears around the edges of the dust jacket, especially around the spine. All of the inside flaps of the dust jacket are clipped (published that way?). No writing inside, no ripped or missing pages, no dog-eared corners.
