Description: You are bidding on volumes 1 and 2 of Winston Churchill's Memoires de la Deuxieme Guerre Mondiale, the French edition of his history of the Second World War aand produced by Librarie PLon, Paris.These were the first volumes produced in 1948 and were a limited edition. Other volumes followed later. Churchill's notes in Vol 1 cannot be found anywhere else.Both volumes are in good condition and in true French style were produced only in paper back. The paper backs however have dust jackets which are almost complete and with impressive black and white cover photos.They also come with glassine Brodart protective covers. The volumes come with powder blue covers with black and red text; they have retained their colors However the paper used by PLON in post WW II France was deplorable and of extremely poor quality. The pages throughout are heavily toned.Nonetheless, these are two very collectible volumes.S/H is $8.00 within the USAThanks for bidding in my auction.
