Each earring is a single wing! The oval cut clear rhinestone is the place where all the lines of each wing begin. These earrings once had a goldtone metal finish but that has worn almost completely off showing the silvertone base metal. The goldtone finish that remains on the front acts as a "highlighted accent". The earrings had comfort pads at one time, two of those remain but they are hardened and could be removed or replaced.WINGS CAN CARRY YOUR SPARKLE! Overall the metal showing is the silvertone base with some areas still showing goldtone, almost like a "highlight".
