Description: William Ridgway Pink Purple Cobalt Floral Blue Earthenware Oval Dessert Dish Antique blue earthenware dessert dish. Decorated in Pattern 57 with pink and purple flowers with cobalt and gold leaves. Marked on the reverse with the pattern number 57 in red. Produced by William Ridgway & Co between 1832 and 1838. Has crazing typical of earthenware, and wear to the gilding and usage wear consistent with age, and a hairline extending off the back edge. Otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 11 3/4 inches long from handle to handle x 9 1/4 inches wide x 2 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
