The paper measures about 8 1/2" x 11 1/4". The artwork itself, without including any border, measures about 4 5/8" x 5 7/8". This is an original, not a reproduction. This engraving is one of a series of drawings by Hogarth on the theme of "Industry and Idleness." The title of this drawing (not shown here, but found online) is "The Industrious Prentice Out of His Time & Married to His Master's Daughter." The piece is in very nice condition as shown. There is some browning at the edges, which does not affect the artwork. Our father appears to have purchased this at an auction, and we will send it in the plastic envelope with the lot number on it.
