Description: Have you ever wanted to own a piece of the White House. In the early 1950s, Harry Truman created the opportunity. Different pieces were sold to help support renovation costs. Each piece sold had a special Presidential marker plate included. This auction is for one of the desk sets they sold. Has a nail and two different pieces of stone/brick. It is enclosed with the marker plate in a lucite display. I found a copy of the original order forms in the Truman Library archives. Great conversation and display piece.
