They were definitely people who gifted books and received books and they and their friends like to write notes and sign those books! The condition of the books ranges from well-worn to seemingly unread. Finally, I will be listing a LOT of books so look at them all and buy more than one to save on shipping. This 1936 edition is hardbound. The cover shows wear and tear and this is one of the books in this collection that was exposed to moisture at some point. heavy evidence of that on the front cover with staining and wrinkling, but inside it shows mostly as wrinkling of pages and edge staining.
