Description: This hardcover book by Mircea Vasiliu is a rare find. Published in New York by the John Day Company in 1970, this original printing is a must have for rare children’s book collectors. The book includes illustrations by the author and is written in English. Each page stimulates the imagination as the “happenings” in a small town scene change as the day goes by. I have included photos with and without the dust jacket. The first 6 photos are taken without the dust jacket on. The hard outer cover of the book book has the same exact illustration that the book jacket has and is in very good shape. (I have seen the same book listed with a solid red book cover). There is just a bit of light staining near the outer edges. I have not tired to clean it, but it states that the outside of the book that it is washable (see second photo). The next 4 photos show the dust jacket, which has a few small paper tears. Please see photos for details. The interior pages are in very good condition with tight, unmarked pages (except for the first page which has a small decade’s old price in the upper right hand corner and the inside of the dust jacket which has a price label).
