The 2007 Whataville Express series was made up of four pieces, but several of the cars came in different colors, giving collectors more to collect. The packaged locomotive and train cars each came with a sheet of stickers in the package, and kids put the stickers in lots of creative places, so no two used cars are the same. The orange locomotive is approximately 5.5" long, the passenger car came in blue, red, or green and had a moving passenger scene inside the train windows as the car rolled and was also about 5.5" long. The 5" cargo flat car came in blue, red, or green with the iconic orange Whataburger triangular-shaped building that attached on top. The 4.5" caboose came green or red. The locomotive and train cars had hooks, so the cars could be connected. The sets show some of the variations and you can choose the set you like the most. Several of the individual train cars, and Whataburger building, are available new or used and can be purchased individually. Whataburger started in Corpus Christi and is now popular throughout Texas, and expanding to other states in the Southwest. Whataburger put out a different train series in Whatakids meals every year around Christmas--I've seen trains from 1998 to 2009 (I don't know if there were more years). The restaurant STOPPED putting toys in kid's meals about a decade ago, much to the dismay of Whataburger fans and collectors. As a result of fewer restaurants than the national brands, and the popularity and loyalty among Whataburger customers, these toys are limited in quantities, harder to find and more rare. The market prices haven't picked up on Whataburger fast food toys yet, but I expect the toys, ESPECIALLY the annual Whataville Express trains series will appreciate in value in the coming years. NEW toys are in original package with a sticker sheet. USED toys are loose with play wear and some stickers may be loose or missing. Stickers may be in different locations since children put the stickers on themselves.
