Description: Two albumen photos on oversize cabinet card mounts, about 8" X 5". These photos are by William Henry Jackson, Denver Colorado, and show views taken on one of his trips into Mexico on the Mexican Central Railway. Jackson apparently took 3 trips into Mexico on the Mexican Central Railway - 1882, 1883, and 1892. I'm not sure, but I think these are from his 1892 trip. His imprint on these photos include, "Photograph and Publishing Co." During his 1892 trip he passed through Juarez, Chihuahua, Torreon, Zacatecas, and Queretaro enroute to Guadalajara, Aguas Calientes, and Mexico City. He made photographs throughout his trip. These views show Native Mexicans loading firewood on a burro on a city street; and 2 Mexican ladies, one on a donkey, at an encampment of 2 tents. The mounts show corner wear - one has a small chip off lower right corner. Overall, the views are very nice condition. All Items I sell are Vintage - no reproductions or reprints.
