It was a beautifully eclectic throw-back property in that it was designed in the sixties, decorated in the seventies and then basically untouched until it was sold and demolished in 2005. It was and incredible experience being able to walk out of a place like The Stardust and into a place like Westward Ho where you could play dollar table games, be served cocktails out of a fountain and get a MegaDog for fifty cents. There will never be another place like Westward Ho!Westward Ho Factoid:Westward Ho, one of every tourist's favorite places to visit, was demolished in 2005 for a project that never happened. Now there's a plain, boring McDonald's where the 'Ho once stood. The 'Ho was demolished on March 30th, 2006 Westward Ho was demolished to clear the way for a number of failed projects that never materialized, including another dumb Ferris wheel. Today there's a McDonald's there you probably don't want to go into, and some of the land is probably something like an HR office for Resorts World. But the 'Ho lives on in our memories and through the artifacts still remaining.
