The front shows the profile of a German WWII combat helmet with a pair of crossed swords in the background. All three are surrounded by an oval oak leaf wreath. Has a thin vertical pin back with a ‘c’ catch. One piece die struck nickel construction. This badge was manufactured by Steinhauer & Luck Ludenscheid Germany. This type of badge was awarded during WWII for receiving 3 to 4 wounds in combat. On the World War II version there was a swastika in the center of the helmet. Excellent plus condition.
