Description: Wen-Mac Texaco Tanker Replacement Parts: ALTERNATE MOTOR MOUNT THIS LISTING IS FOR ONE PROP SHAFT BUSHING & GREASE TUBE ONLY (Items A & B in the photos) Fix up or upgrade your old Wen-Mac Texaco Tanker with these new replacement parts. Listing is for one Prop Shaft Bushing & Grease Tube only. The original Texaco Tanker uses a molded plastic bushing to carry the prop shaft at the hull. It also uses a piece of rubber tubing pressed onto the bushing inside the hull, to hold a bit of grease. The grease seems to block water entry, but it does a poor job of lubricating the plastic bushing, and the bare bushing is a poor running surface for the shaft. Fix it with these upgrade parts! The new bushing is machined from acetal homopolymer (same as DELRIN (R) ), and requires no additional lubrication. But I include a piece of silicone tubing to replace the old rubber grease tube, because we still want to block water ingress. Installation: - Remove the rudder and prop with prop shaft;- Push out the old bushing (the red item in the first photo), it comes out easily;- Install the new bushing. It may need a bit of a push;- Reinsert the prop shaft and check for good alignment with the motor. If alignment needs improvement, remove the bushing and file the hole a bit to allow alignment. Don't worry about excessive looseness at this point.- Install the bushing and prop shaft. Slide the new grease tube over the shaft, and couple the shaft to the motor. All should be aligned at this point.- Seal the bushing to the hull. I like to use "tire cement" (rubberized CA). Make sure the cement surrounds the bushing at the hull, but doesn't get on the shaft. While the cement is still wet, push the grease tube onto the bushing.- Fill the grease tube with grease. I like to use white lithium grease and apply it with a syringe, such as a Monoject. The 2nd photo shows the bushing's flange between prop and hull.3rd photo shows the grease tube installed onto the bushing. Combined Shipping: IMPORTANT! To obtain combined shipping, do this: 1.
