Description: Wen-Mac Texaco Tanker Replacement Parts: BATTERY CONTACTS ORDER UPPER & LOWER CONTACTS SEPARATELY Fix up or upgrade your old Wen-Mac Texaco Tanker with these new replacement parts. The original battery contacts may be destroyed after being in contact with leaky batteries for decades. These new replacements are made from quality phosphor-bronze alloy, just like the originals.> Lower contact: A drop-in replacement, sold with (2) screws that match the originals' form.> Upper contact: Requires some work! The original mounting peg often breaks off, so this part is designed for screw retention. You will need the remove the remains of the small diameter mounting peg, but leave the larger diameter portion (boss). Carefully drill the boss to accept a screw of your choice- M2 or #2, self-tapping, thread-forming, or machine screw. See the photo showing an example of a screw-retained contact.> Both contacts require resoldering the wires. Take note of which goes where! Photos show:1. New & old, upper & lower contacts;2.
