Weller Pottery Rare Black Hexagonal Classic Grecian Style Women Vase Jardiniere

Description: For sale we have a very nice rare large Weller Art Pottery Hexagonal form Planter, Jardiniere or Vase. This unusual piece has six rotating Neo Classical Grecian style Women with a cameo style appearance. There are two different Classical women figures that rotate around the six sides of this planter. We have not seen this particular planter with this color combination. The colors are a very rich glossy black background with the women cameos being in a glossy whitish beige coloration. This planter has a great Art Nouveau Neo Classical Grecian look. This is a fresh to the market example in original untouched condition. We date this beauty to the early 1900's Era. The base is impressed Weller. The inside of this planter is clean with a little washable dirt or soiling in the very bottom and a lite scuff or two. The condition is very nice with no chips, cracks, deep scratches or scuffs. There are no repairs or alterations. We only see some overall fine crazing and some usage wear and thin scratches on the base. We pictured these areas, and we mention them for complete accuracy. This planter is fairly large at 5 1/2" in height and approx. 8" across at it's widest point. This is a nice impressive looking example. This beauty caught our eye and we hope it does the same for you. This would make a great addition to a Weller Art Pottery or Classical Style Antique collection.
