Description: The item:Selling a really nice vintage Welland Vale 'True Temper Black Prince' vintage double bit 4LB axe (Made in Canada). I cleaned up the axe head with a wire brush and metal oil and re-profiled and sharpened (very sharp!) it and hung it on a brand new (old stock) double bit handle. Handle has been oiled and slightly torched and is very strong. The hang is extremely solid and I have over 30 years in the logging industry. This axe would make a great 'user' or a gorgeous wall hanger/display piece. Rich piece of Canadian logging history right here and a difficult axe to find!**Measures 35" long from top of the axe head to the bottom of the handle. Axe head weighs 4 LBS and measures 9.5" wide, 4.5" tall (blade).This axe head was originally found in an old barn in BC, Canada, home to a very rich logging history and would make the perfect addition to your collection!
